Life Coaching-Starting Over

Some times even when it is not the beginning of a new year, we decide that we need to start over.  Life is just that way and be it a new year or just a new beginning, we leave something behind and we begin the process of starting over.  I think the big question is, what do we bring along with us in our efforts to let the past go?  How do we move on in a graceful way without bring the baggage with us?

First Analysis:

We can't leave our entire life up until now, behind us.  We have family, children, friends and careers that we need to keep close.  Getting away is one thing, but starting over is absolutely another. So we separate what has bogged us down from the good things that we want to keep.  We all have good things that we should not let go of.

Second Analysis:

When someone has failed us, we have to decide they will not do it any longer and that is why we take the steps to rid ourselves of what has been and what will be in the future.  If we are bored to death at a job, we must find out why.  Do we just need a break or is it something more serious?  Making a career move is serious in this country at this time in history, therefore one should step back and think twice before changing careers.  If an opportunity comes ones way, that is a different story.  Never pass up an opportunity to grow, however, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Third Analysis:

We take control of how we feel about our life without what we are leaving behind; one step at a time.  No one says it is easy but it is doable.  Time heals most things.  If we are leaving behind a career instead of a person, we must make sure we have another to go to. Do not every make the mistake of quitting a job without another one, regardless of whether you really like the new one or not.  You can always find another job, but you should have another job to go to, before you walk out.  The exception would if you have plenty of reserves to keep your life intact while looking for the perfect job.  There are not many perfect jobs...don't forget that.

Note:  Never let anyone tell you that you are not facing life's challenges if you decide to change your life.

One should remember that starting over is not running away. Starting over can mean, that you are changing your thoughts so that you can progress in a more positive way.  It can mean that you are beginning a new life without another person, or a new job, a new Church, or a new friend.  It can mean a different city, a different house, a new project, a personal growth campaign that includes life coaching sessions.  It can mean that you are sick and tired of just existing.  It may mean that you simply want to live your life differently than you have done in the past and it does not have to mean you are leaving anyone behind. If you have had thoughtful consideration of all aspects of what you are contemplating, there is nothing wrong with doing what you have to do, however, make sure it is what you must do.

Thoughts:

"If you aren't living your life fully, step back and analyze why.  If it can be fixed; fix it.  If it can't be fixed, it may not be broken, you may just need a breath of fresh air."

"When we are freshly wounded, it is not the time to make rash decisions.  Making rash decisions could hinder us from finding out what we thought was right, wasn't."

"Moving on in life, doesn't have to mean, leaving."

"Taking a stand on an issue that is wrong, does not mean that you are unwilling to compromise; it means you will not allow the issue to destroy your standards."

"Change is sometimes necessary; regardless of who says no.  If something is wrong, it needs changing and if there is no change; then there is no one else to blame."

"It takes courage to Start Over in life, some do not know how, some are afraid and life can be scary without the security of what we have always had.  One way to know when you must take a step in the dark is to realize that you can't continue to live as you have in the past.  Only you can make that decision and only you will be responsible for the consequences of starting over, be it right or wrong.  There is always the possibility that it will go either way, nothing is written in stone.

It however, means that you are willing to take a chance at happiness in another prospective. Try your wings...if you chose.

CAN MEN, TODAY, BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH?

Did you ever notice that the hydrophobic believers in Jesus want to be saved like the thief on the cross? Their argument is the thief was not baptized in water, and was still saved. Thief proponents fail to mention that the thief was also saved without being born of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit of promise had not been given at that time. So the logical conclusion would be that men, today, can be saved without being born of water and the Spirit. (John 3:5 Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.")

The question is why do men, today, not petition to be saved like Enoch?

Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

1.Enoch did not believe Jesus was the Son of God. Was Enoch saved? YES.
2. Enoch did not confess that God raised Jesus from the dead. Was Enoch saved? YES.
3. Enoch was not baptized in water. He was not immersed for the forgiveness of sins. Was Enoch saved? YES.
4. Enoch did not believe that Jesus shed His blood on the cross so he could have his sins washed away. Was Enoch saved? YES.
5. Was Enoch born of the Spirit? No. The Holy Spirit of promise was not given until the Day of Pentecost. Was Enoch saved? YES.

WAS ENOCH SAVED? YES.

Can men, today, be saved like Enoch? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Men, today, can only be saved by meeting the terms for pardon under the New Covenant; also know as the New Testament, the New Will, the New Agreement, the New Promise.

THE THIEF ON THE CROSS

Luke 23:39-43...And He said to him, :Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."

1. The thief believed Jesus was the Christ. Was the thief saved?YES.
2. The thief repented. (He turn from sin and turned toward God). Was the thief saved? YES.
3. The thief did not confess that God had raised Jesus from the dead. Was the thief saved? YES.
4. The thief was not immersed in water for the forgiveness of his sins. Was the thief saved? YES.
5. The thief was not born of the Spirit? The thief did not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Was the thief saved? YES.

WAS THE THIEF SAVED? YES.

Can men, today, be saved like the thief on the cross?ABSOLUTELY NOT. Men, today, can only be saved by meeting the terms of pardon under the New Covenant.

The New Covenant came into effect after the death of Jesus, on the Day of Pentecost.

Hebrews 9:16-17 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17 For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives.

MEN,TODAY, CANNOT BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH NOR SAVED LIKE THE THIEF ON THE CROSS. ENOCH AND THE THIEF WERE NOT SAVED UNDER THE NEW COVENANT.

Note: The book of Acts contains several conversions that took place under the New Covenant. There is no record of anyone saying.
A. I do not have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
B. I do not have to be born of water and the Spirit.
C. I do not have to confess that Jesus was resurrected from the grave by God in order to be saved.
D. I do not have to be immersed in water in order to be saved.
E. I do not have to repent, (Turn from sin and turn to God), in order to be saved.

IN ORDER TO BE SAVED UNDER THE NEW COVENANT; WHICH STARTED ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST. YOU NEED TO MEET THE TERMS FOR PARDON.

FAITH: John 3:16
REPENTANCE: Acts 2:38
CONFESSION: Romans 10:9-10
BAPTISM: Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21, Mark 16:16

YOU CANNOT BE SAVED LIKE ENOCH!

Steve, Sorry that I am now just getting to this and thank you for your extensive words about Enoch and salvation.

Of course Enoch did not have to believe in Jesus because his time was before Jesus time. Yes, we do have to meet the "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Yes we must live by the written words of God; the Bible and we should be an example to others.

Thank you again for coming here to comment.
